Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to all current and future applications developed and published by Massimo Yao (“Developer”) under the same Apple Developer account.

By using our applications, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

Our applications are designed to operate primarily on your device.

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, rent, or share your personal information unless explicitly stated by a specific feature.

Most data generated or processed by our applications remains entirely on your device.

Permissions Used by the Applications

Screen Recording Permission

Some applications require Screen Recording permission to provide functionality such as:

  • Screen watermark rendering
  • Screenshot capture
  • Screen recording
  • OCR text recognition
  • Menu bar analysis and management

Screen content is processed locally and is not transmitted to us.

Accessibility Permission

Accessibility permission may be required to:

  • Simulate user interactions
  • Control menu bar items
  • Execute automation features
  • Improve workflow efficiency

Accessibility-related information is processed locally and is never transmitted to us.

Automation Permission

Automation permission allows the application to interact with macOS applications such as:

  • Finder
  • System Events
  • Other user-authorized applications

Automation actions occur only when initiated by the user.

Files and Folders Access

Applications may request access to files and folders selected by the user for:

  • Saving screenshots
  • Exporting files
  • Importing user content
  • Reading or writing authorized files

Only files explicitly selected or authorized by the user are accessible.

Clipboard Access

Clipboard access may be used for:

  • Copying screenshots
  • Copying generated content
  • Importing images or text from the clipboard

Clipboard contents are processed locally and are not transmitted to us.

Microphone Permission

If enabled by the user, microphone access may be used during:

  • Screen recording
  • Audio recording

Audio data remains on the user’s device and is not transmitted to us.

Notification Permission

Some applications may request permission to display notifications for reminders, alerts, status updates, or workflow-related events.

Notification data is generated locally and is not shared with us.

Data Storage

All application-generated content is stored locally on your device unless a specific feature explicitly states otherwise.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. When you choose an optional third-party feature, the data needed for that feature is sent to the service you select, as described below.

We may disclose information only when required by applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.

Third-Party Services

Certain applications may optionally integrate with Apple services or third-party services. Any such integration will be clearly disclosed within the application.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

SuperShot for macOS: Google Drive

Connecting Google Drive is optional. SuperShot requests only https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file, which allows access to files and folders created by, or specifically authorized for use with, SuperShot. It does not grant access to your entire Drive. Google handles sign-in; SuperShot does not receive your Google password.

SuperShot uses this access to upload the screenshots, images, recordings or other supported files you choose, find or create your configured upload folder, and return file links. If you explicitly enable automatic upload, eligible captures are uploaded according to that setting. Connection testing makes a read-only request for an accessible file identifier and does not upload a file. Requests may include file contents, names, MIME types, folder identifiers and file metadata required for these operations.

Your Mac communicates directly with Google over HTTPS. We do not receive a copy of your Drive files or OAuth tokens on a developer-operated server. Refresh tokens are stored in your Mac’s Keychain; short-lived access tokens are kept in memory. Upload settings, file identifiers and resulting links may be retained locally with your upload history. Uploaded files remain in your Google Drive until you delete them there.

Uploads use the permissions of the selected Drive location. If you explicitly choose to create a public link, SuperShot requests permission for anyone with that link to view the uploaded file. A shared parent folder can also grant access to others. Review the destination and sharing settings before uploading; sharing a link does not make a sensitive file safe to disclose.

Google user data is used only to provide these user-facing Drive features. It is not sold or used for advertising, user profiling, or training generalized AI or machine-learning models. SuperShot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

You can turn off automatic upload or remove the Google Drive destination in SuperShot’s Cloud Upload settings. You can also revoke SuperShot’s access in your Google Account connections. Removing a destination or revoking access does not delete files already uploaded to Drive or erase local history; manage those separately in Google Drive and SuperShot. Children’s Privacy

Our applications are not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Updated versions will be published at the same location where this Privacy Policy is made available.
